DRIVING INSTRUCTOR'S POLICY

Driving Instructors Policy

At Yarra City Driving School (YCDS), we are committed to delivering high-quality driving lessons to ensure that learners become safe, responsible, and confident drivers. To uphold our professional standards, the following policies apply to all YCDS driving instructors:

1. Lesson Rescheduling

• Instructors may reschedule a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances such as:

  • Sudden illness or fatigue.

  • Emergency situations.

  • Adverse weather or poor road conditions.

• If rescheduling is necessary, the instructor will notify the learner as soon as possible and arrange an alternative lesson time.

2. Driving Test Bookings

• Instructors are not authorized to cancel, modify, or reschedule a learner’s driving test appointment.

• Learners are responsible for booking and managing their VicRoads test reservations.

• YCDS instructors will provide comprehensive test preparation to ensure learners are confident and ready for their driving test.

3. Professionalism and Conduct

• YCDS instructors are qualified, certified professionals who uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

• They will:

  • Treat all learners with respect and courtesy.

  • Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to improve driving skills.

  • Create a supportive, calm, and encouraging learning environment.

4. Safety and Compliance

• Safety is the highest priority in every driving lesson.

• Instructors will:

  • Ensure that all driving lessons comply with traffic laws and regulations.

  • Teach and encourage safe and responsible driving techniques.

  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times.

  • Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and equipped with dual controls for safety.

5. Lesson Cancellation Policy

• Learners must reschedule or cancel a lesson at least 48 hours before the scheduled time.

• Failure to cancel within this timeframe will result in forfeiture of the lesson fee.
